Return & Refund Policy

1. Eligibility for Returns and Refunds

* Returns accepted only for damaged, defective, or incorrect items received, or where the product materially differs from the description.
* Return request window: within 7 days of delivery for most ready‑made items; custom or personalized items are non‑returnable unless defective.
* To initiate a return, email support@imitationqueen.com with order number, photos, and a brief description.

* Important: Items must be returned in original condition, unused, with tags and packaging.

2. Inspection and Approval

* Once we receive the returned item, our team will inspect it for eligibility.
* Refunds or replacements are processed only after inspection confirms the issue. Typical inspection time: 3–7 business days.
 
3. Refund Methods and Timeline

* Refunds are issued to the original payment method. For card/UPI/netbanking payments, refunds typically reflect within 7–14 business days depending on the bank or wallet provider.
* If the original payment method is unavailable, we may issue a refund via store credit after customer consent.

4. Exchanges and Replacements

* If you prefer a replacement, request it during the return initiation. Replacements are subject to stock availability.
* If the replacement price differs, the difference will be billed or refunded accordingly.
 
5. Return Shipping and Charges

* If the return is due to our error (damaged/incorrect item), we cover return shipping.
* If the return is for other reasons (change of mind), return shipping charges apply and may be deducted from the refund. For COD orders, any COD fee paid is non‑refundable unless the return is our fault.
 
6. Non‑returnable Items

* Personalized/custom pieces, intimate items, and items marked non‑returnable on the product page cannot be returned unless defective.
 
7. Cancellations and Prepaid Orders

* Orders can be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund. Once dispatched, standard return process applies. Refunds for prepaid cancellations are processed within 7–14 business days.

9. Refunds
* Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
* If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

10. Late or missing refunds

* If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
* Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
* Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
* If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at support@imitationqueen.com.

11. Sale items
* Only regular priced items are eligible for refund. Sale items cannot be refunded.

12. Exchanges
* We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

13. Shipping returns

* You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
* Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
* If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
